Read this before you use ClinicalVitals
You are about to spend money preparing for an exam that costs thousands. Here is exactly what this app is, and what it is not.
We are not the GMC, and we are not connected to it
ClinicalVitals is independent, third-party educational software. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, accredited by, licensed by, or connected in any way to the General Medical Council (GMC), NHS England, the Australian Medical Council (AMC), or any other examining body or regulator. We name the GMC only to say which exam this app helps you practise for.
Nothing here guarantees you a pass
Using this platform, sitting stations, or scoring well on them does not guarantee a pass in the PLAB2 examination or any other assessment. Almost every mark you see here is produced automatically by software. The one exception is a human review, an optional add-on you buy against a single station, which is one reviewer’s opinion given for teaching — they are not an examiner of record for any examining body. Both are indicative practice feedback: not an official result, not a moderated one, and not a prediction of how you will be marked on the day.
A practice tool, not clinical training
This app exists for self-assessment, speaking a consultation out loud, and getting used to the clock. It is not a substitute for formal clinical training, supervised practice, a preparation course, or the official curricula, rubrics and guidelines you are actually examined against. Read those from their source.
Not medical advice
The patients, histories, examination findings, investigations, diagnostic pathways, management plans and voice interactions in this app are computer-generated for exam simulation, and can be confidently wrong. None of it is medical advice, and none of it may be relied on for real patient care or clinical decision-making. If you are treating a patient, use your own judgement and current UK guidelines.
